Dorita Beal, CISR is employed by Meadowbrook Insurance Agency of Saginaw as a Commercial Lines Marketing Representative. A mentor to others in the industry, Dorita has been working in the field of insurance for many years. She has additional background in Personal Lines, Claims Processing, Audits and Customer Service.

Dorita continues to advance her education and provides opportunities for others to do the same. She is currently working toward her CPIW and DAE designations, as well as the CIC industry designation. Dorita doesn’t hesitate to share her knowledge with others. She’s taught the NAIW I Can! Series Class, What’s up DOC (Drive Other Car Coverage), and in 2008 she will teach Underwriting for Non-Underwriters. Somewhere along the line she’ll find time to take the 5 week Communicate With Confidence class that MMAIP will be offering in the fall of 2007.

Dorita is a member who really knows the ropes. She’s belonged to MMAIP for 6 years and is one of the association’s leaders. She’s previously served as Recording Secretary, and this year is the association’s Vice President. Dorita makes an excellent mentor for other members because she loves helping others and answering questions that will help them to be successful.

Last year Dorita was a critical contributor to the committee hosting the State Council Annual Conference, in Bay City, Michigan. She served in many capacities, but was most recognized for recruiting conference sponsors and exhibitors. Thanks to Dorita and the other members working on this task, the conference yielded a record number of sponsor/contributors and the highest ever level of financial support from the industry and community. Dorita is quick to point out that she was just one cog in the wheel, and other members also did a banner job of recruiting support. From the association’s perspective, having so many star achievers is not a bad problem to have!

But it’s not Dorita’s MMAIP commitment and achievements that cause the organization to recognize her as a Member on the Move. As much as Dorita gives to her industry, she gives even more to our community! Dorita has served as a Girl Scouts Leader and Service Unit Director for 12 years, and has served as a County Chairman for Delta College TV Auction as well. As a volunteer with her church, she has traveled the world building clinics, schools, and churches. She’s been to Haiti, Russia, the Ivory Coast of Africa, and Kazakstan sharing love, helping others, and making the world a better place.

In here spare time (whenever that is) Dorita enjoys traveling. She and her husband have traveled to Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, many islands in the Atlantic, and most recently, an Alaskan cruise. Dorita truly is a Member on the Move!
